In July 2019, my husband and I moved into a "continuing care retirement community," called CCRC for short, to help him deal with Parkinson's disease. At first, he felt invigorated by the various opportunities for exercise and sociability offered at the CCRC. Then the COVID-19 pandemic closed things down. I wrote a series of 12 posts about our transition, the CCRC lifestyle, and the effects of the pandemic there on the internet platform, Sixty and Me. We left the CCRC when my husband required 24/7 nursing care. He died in 2022.
Since then, I've been writing about a range of topics about my stage of life, current affairs, and literature. Click on the image above to access my page on sixtyandme.com.
